Only questions from the BDS curriculum is asked in the written exams and the interview. Do not get confused about what you search online. GK, English Aptitude, Reasoning is never asked in any JR exam. I did the mistake of spending time learning and practising the above.
You will never get last year question papers for JR, as the candidates are not allowed to take with them the question paper in most of the exams. Also, some exams have a digital platform for the entrance exam.
Usually, there is confusion that JR seats are always booked. Everything is fixed or you need an approach or a jack from a reputed or highly influential figure. It may or may not be true. Don’t think about this and concentrate on preparing for the exam. You have a fair chance to qualify if you do well in your exam. Still, however, by appearing for the exams, going for interviews, you get to make a lot of contacts and get to see the inside of the government hospital. If you have a learning attitude and have sharp observational skills, you will learn 10X by just giving the exams.
The JRs are paid according to a particular pay-scale which is mentioned in the advertisement. One lakh plus is the pay and after-tax deduction 70-90 thousand is what a JR usually gets (2021). This is a handsome amount but you deserve it after you are selected.
Junior Residency is for the BDS graduates and is usually valid up to two years after graduating. This is very important and therefore look for JR advertisements in the newspapers or the suggested websites regularly. However, some hospitals accept applications for more than two years after graduation. Always check the internship or graduation date mentioned in the form.
